After a leisurely morning either relaxing in your hotel or strolling through the streets of Athens, your private transfer will take you to Athens airport where you’ll board a short flight to Chania, Crete. Upon arrival on the island, our driver will transfer you to your stunning hotel. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Today you’ll enjoy a walking tour in the old town of Chania, exploring its Venetian and Ottoman monuments, such as the Firkas Fortress, the Franciscan Monastery of San Salvador, the Venetian church of Ag Rockos, the Venetian Grand Arsenal, the Venetian “Neoria”, Gialli Tzamissi and the Ottoman district of Splanzia. As you travel between stops you will have the chance to try local delicacies, pastries, and sweets, such as the famous “loukoumades” donuts with honey, “bougatsa” cheese pie, “kalitsounia” pastries, and phyllo sweets. Your private tour will end at the cruciform open-air fruit and leather market of the town, unique in Crete, where you will have the opportunity to try various Cretan products, such as pure olive oil, a large variety of cheeses, the local “raki” and local wines.
On your last day in Crete, spend the day visiting one of the best beaches in Europe – the beautiful Balos Lagoon. Set off on a private speed boat, enjoying a tour along the Crete coastline before arriving at Balos. Where you’ll then have around four hours to relax and soak up the surroundings. Return to Chania in the early afternoon and enjoy the evening atmosphere of this enchanting historical town.
TYour next stop is the island of Santorini, famous for its beautiful volcanic landscape. With a pre-booked ferry, you will arrive in Santorini with a private driver waiting to whisk you to the sought-after town of Oia. Upon arrival on the island, our driver will transfer you to your stunning hotel with spectacular caldera views. Enjoy a relaxing morning at your leisure. In the afternoon our local guide will pick you up and take you to try your hand at creating traditional Greek dishes. Sadly it’s time to bid farewell to Santorini as you check out of your hotel and we transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to Athens International Airport and then for your return flight home.
